Classically-trained on piano and with extensive training and experience in musical theater, Alex's heart and soul are in pop/country music. Her style and original songs have been influenced by such musical greats as Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Linda Ronstadt and many other beloved artists. She is capable of singing Italian opera as seen on her popular YouTube video "The Prayer" as well as covering a wide-ranging repertoire of popular songs intermixed with her own must-hear original songs. Alex is an eighth grade student who is also involved in acting and musical theater. She recently appeared with Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Midsummer Night’s Dream as First Fairy and Karen Prunzik’s Reel Broadway. She has also been seen in numerous productions including Pittsburgh Musical Theater’s Rauh Conservatory’s Les Miserables as Little Cosette, Disney’s High School Musical as Sharpay Evans, the Queen of Hearts in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Tiny Tim in A Musical Christmas Carol, Aurora in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty and Benjamin in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Alex performed with the National Tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Pittsburgh. She recorded a demo for a new Broadway show and in 2008 won first place for her age group in Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest for her portrayal of Phoebe in As You Like It.
